Bioscan have increasingly been commissioned to explore the opportunities for rural landowners to secure income from use of their land for the delivery of biodiversity net gain, in compensation for losses to development elsewhere. They have advised major investors on suitable sites for acquisition and on the level of biodiversity credits (and thus income) that may be available through securing a development partner in need of BNG.

Bioscan also have experience in working closely with lawyers and land agents to negotiate heads of terms and leasehold options or contracts, ranging from 25 years to 99 year leases and in devising management plans for land brought into conservation uses or low intensity agriculture by such means.
